Managing Money During Crisis

I am so excited to bring you this interview series from financial vlogger Jennifer Kempton AKA Mama FurFur.

I don’t know about you, but dealing with a global pandemic is something that I had never even considered in my wildest dreams would happen to us. You literally couldn’t dream it up, this sort of thing only happens in the movies, and yet here we are.

While so many people have been directly affected by it, to have lost loved ones is just truly devastating and yet other pressures that many others have faced is that of their finances, and I include myself in that bracket. Heck aren’t we all affected as we move into a period of recession.

Though I feel very fortunate that we have been able to tackle it face on and we are certainly ok, I really felt that money is a topic that if we talked more about, could potentially help more people.

If this experience has taught me anything, it’s that my financial situation gets to improve dramatically, going forward.

I have always been interested in learning how to better manage my money, and it’s when I was doing some research in my most favorite way to do that, it is of course Youtube. I was watching Dave Ramsey who is very famous in the US for helping people to get out of debt. I stumbled across Mama FurFur, I highly recommend you go and check her out if you too are looking to take back control of your finances as the information and tools she shares are incredible.

It’s also why I was sooooooo excited to get her on as a guest expert this month, I got to ask her about all things finances and posed the questions that I received from some of my Get It Girl tribe members.

There was so much goodness that she came to share, that I split the interview into two parts to make it easier to consume and take action on.

Below you can find part one where we discussed:

In this episode, she shared:

– Top tips for people who are currently dealing with financial pressure right now

– Knowing your numbers and creating a bare-bones budget

– Thinking outside of the box when it comes to your income.

– How to start your debt repayment plan. Avalanche or snowball?

Managing Money During Crisis Part Once

I really hope you enjoyed this interview, but most of all that if you are currently challenged by financial pressure right now, that this inspires you to take action on it. You DO have the power to change your financial future.
