Snow & Yoga Retreat | your Questions Answered

So we may have mentioned that we are a little bit excited about our up and coming Snow & Yoga Retreat which is taking place this year on the 15th-22nd April. We have also had a fair few questions coming in, and so we thought it would be best to answer them all in one go.

# Q: What If I Have Never Skied/Snowboarded Before? Can I still join the retreat?

A: Absolutely!! On retreat we offer your lessons inclusive of the retreat price on 5 days of the week. Lesson time will be split up into groups of skiiers and snowboarders and then also split down into level. This is the perfect opportunity for a beginner to come and learn something new and any intermediates to get some quality instruction to take their skiing or snowboarding up a level.

#Q: What is included in the price?

A: The price of the Snow & Yoga Retreat is £897 and included in that price is:

  • Deluxe Shared Occupancy Accommodation for 7 nights. Solo Travellers Will Be Paired Up.
  • Breakfast and Evening Meal All Inclusive with a clean and healthy eating menu with vegetarian and vegan options available.
  • Wine With Evening Meal
  • Daily Yoga Sessions
  • Afternoon and apres activities
  • Trip to the thermal spa in Switzerland
  • 5 Days Tuition
  • Local Area Lift Pass (Can Be Upgraded To Full Area)
  • Free time to go and explore the mountains
  • Hot tub
  • Sauna
  • Transfer to and from Geneva airport

What’s not included: Flights, insurance, equipment hire (which we can help you arrange), additional treatments, lunch on the mountain

#Q: What if there is no snow?

A: Yes it’s late in the season and the temperature is a little warmer at this time of year, (which is actually pretty awesome). The Portes Du Soleil has amazing snow maintenance facilities and there will always be the availability to get on the pistes, especially in the higher resort of Avoriaz. If the lifts are open, there will be snow. We also have a load of other activities planned meaning you will never be short of something to do.

 

Here is an example day schedule so you can get a clearer idea of the activities.

7.30 – 8.30am – Breakfast

9.00am – Leave chalet and split off into groups according to ability ready for your morning lesson

12.30pm – Re-group for lunch on the mountain ** Note lunch is not included in the retreat price however, packed lunches can be pre-ordered and will then be available to take out onto the mountain with you.

2.30pm – Afternoon group riding and/or activities

4.00pm – Group Yoga session

5.00pm – Afternoon Tea

6.00pm – Free time to chill and enjoy the chalet facilities

8.30pm – Three Course Evening Meal

** Wednesday is staff day off the group will be eating out in town. Schedule is subject to change and is given as a guide only.

#Q: Does is matter that I have never done Yoga before?

A: Absolutley not. Our yoga sessions will cater to a mixed ability group and we really hope that if it is an introduction, that it will inspire you to the benefits in adding in yoga to your regular routine.
