I believe in keeping life simple.
As human beings we often overcomplicate things. We choose to sit in struggle and conflict with ourselves as well as everyone else.
I get that, I really do! Just because it’s simple doesn’t always mean that it’s ‘easy’ to follow through with it.
As I have grown older and indeed since moving out to the mountains I realize how much more I appreciate the very simple things in life and a question I ask myself regularly is:
‘How does this get to be fun and easy?’
Because yes I want a simple life, BUT I also want it to be a truly extraordinary one.
I want the very best for myself and my family.
I want to be able to help more people, I want to be able to give more to charity, I want to do more to help the environment.
So I have a few simple things that I choose to live by, for good health and my most awesome life mantra:
“Eat to nourish, do more squats, move more, sleep deep, wake up with intention, drink more water, try new foods, wake up to your thoughts and emotions, connect more, feel more, experience life, crave adventure, go in search of the things that bring you joy, love lots and be happy”
So today I invite you to think about what YOU believe in. What practices do you hold true to living a happy healthy life? Are you even doing them? And always ask yourself, how does this get to be more fun and easy?
Because life is truly amazing if you choose to make it that way.
Many people will skip over this and move on with their day. These are the same people that plod through life and wonder why they feel so meh, unfulfilled and generally stuck.
When you create passion and purpose in your life, you get to create a life that you love, one that makes you want to jump out of bed in the morning with a smile on your face and one that is extraordinarily amazing for you.
