I have always been someone who loves being outdoors, I think back to school when we used to go to Tower Wood on an activity weekend of ghyll scrambling, canoeing, orienteering, I was in my element.
Or group family holidays camping in the lake district so the adventurer in me has been there from a young age and still love these types of holidays they are some of my all time favourite memories.
As we got older even going to places such as centre parcs is always just been an ideal get away, there is really something that has to be said about being in nature.
Last year we went over to the lakes for my good friend Jenny’s hen do. We did a number of team building activities and I remember thinking back then, why do I not do these things more often??
And I know why. Life just happens, we are busy, working hard towards our goals and sometimes really living the life we want get’s pushed to the back burner for a little while.
That weekend was one of the best weekends ever. Time away with the girls, having lots of laughs, telling stories, sharing experiences and doing activities that just draw you away from constantly thinking about work, family, kids or any of that.
The result was leaving that weekend thinking I want to do this more often.
Living the life that you really want for yourself is about taking these types of opportunities and choosing to experience them whole heartedly.
Do things that maybe you have never had the opportunity to experience, choose to meet new people that you have never met.
This is why I am so damn excited to be able to share exactly this type of experience with you guys.
As I was fine tuning the schedule for this summers Fierce & Fearless retreat yesterday, I had butterflies in my tummy because I literally can’t wait to get you all here.
The weather has already started to heat up, in fact I got a little sunburnt yesterday and it is only set to get warmer so my plans for lakeside lazing and BBQ party nights are just the tipping point.
