Metabolism Boosting Lemon & Ginger Water Recipe

Your hydration directly affects your metabolism, that’s your body’s ability to work properly and indeed burn body fat effectively. It affects everything from your concentration levels, energy levels, your body’s ability to effectively digest your food and your muscles to be able to work.


So in simple terms if you want to boost your health, your energy, have clearer skin and be able to burn fat more effectively you need to drink up.


To boost your metabolism and indeed your energy levels you need to drink enough water.


Drinking plain water is the most simple and effective way but we also know it can get a little boring, so why not try some flavoured water this week??


Try this recipe:


  • 1 cup of lemon juice
  • 2 table spoons of honey or stevia as sweetener
  • ¼ teaspoon of cayenne pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon of ground ginger
  • 4 cups of hot water


Put it all into a jar or mug and mix well, you can then use this as your concentrate (strain if you don’t want as many bits in) store it in the refrigerator and then add hot or cold water to enjoy throughout the day.
